The Luton Town vs Chelsea live stream today is the first game of the latest round of bumper Premier League Christmas period, as the improving Hatters seek a third top-flight win in a row, this time against Mauricio Pochettino's inconsistent Blues.

Luton may still occupy a relegation position but there are green shoots recovery. The Hatters have won their last two Premier League outings, beating Newcastle 1-0 and relegation rivals Sheffield United 3-2, and even gave the defending champions a run for their money in the game before that.

Rob Edwards' side are also now playing for club captain Tom Lockyer who continues to convalesce after suffering a cardiac arrest during a game at Bournemouth that was abandoned because of his health scare. Carlton Morris came off the bench at Bramall Lane to create two goals and may be in line to start.

Chelsea may have made it to the Carabao Cup semi-finals but the Blues' league form has left a lot to be desire. Mauricio Pochettino's side have yet to win more than two Premier League games in a row this season and sit 10th in the table. Their goalscoring hopes lie at the feet of Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku, the latter of whom made his first start in their victory over Crystal Palace on Wednesday, alongside fellow new boy Romeo Lavia who looked good off the bench.

Luton have made their presence felt in the Premier League and have taken the fight to the opposition whenever they have been drawn at Kenilworth Road. The side have managed two wins on the trot against Newcastle United and Sheffield United and will be high on confidence of stinging Chelsea.

Chelsea, on the other hand, were able to manage a narrow win over Crystal Palace. After a shambolic display against Wolves, the Blues beat the Eagles 2-1 on the back of Mykhailo Mudryk's early opener and Noni Madueke's late penalty.

Luton's captain Tom Lockyer remains sidelined after suffering a cardiac arrest on the pitch while all of Reece Burke (thigh), Dan Potts (thigh), Marvelous Nakamba (knee) and Issa Kabore (muscle) are nursing injuries.

Christopher Nkunku may lead the line replacing Nicolas Jackson after the Frenchman has had two excellent performance. While Mykhailo Mudryk could feature in the eleven after his opener against Crystal Palace guiding them to the victory.

While the Blues would miss the services of Trevoh Chalobah (thigh), Carney Chukwuemeka (knee), Ben Chilwell (hamstring), Wesley Fofana (knee), Reece James (thigh), Marc Cucurella (ankle) and Robert Sanchez (knee).

Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer are also touted to return straight into the lineup after serving their respective suspensions.

The Blues recovered from their loss to Wolves on Christmas Eve by beating London rivals Crystal Palace earlier this week as their inconsistency continued.

For the Blues, Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer are free from suspension, though Romeo Lavia is a doubt despite only making his debut on Wednesday.

Enzo Fernandez, Reece James, Ben Chilwell, Marc Cucurella, Robert Sanchez, Wesley Fofana, Carney Chukwuemeka, Trevoh Chalobah and Lesley Ugochukwu are all out.

Mauricio Pochettino's side will be high on confidence after their dramatic win over Crystal Palace in midweek, which saw Noni Madueke come off the bench and net a last-minute penalty to snatch all three points from a stubborn Eagles side.

They will have injury concerns though with a possible 11 stars missing from the clash, but they'll still feel as though they can go into the January transfer window with renewed hope for the second half of the season. It'll be the first time since December 1991 that they'll travel to Luton for a Premier League match but they'll not want a repeat of the 2-0 loss they suffered last time out.

As for Luton, they've won their last two league games on the trot - the same amount as they did in their first 16 of the season - and they'll be hoping to continue their winning ways to leap out of the relegation zone to end the year.

The game is set to start at 12:30pm from Kenilworth Road on Saturday afternoon ahead of the 3pm matches when Aston Villa take on Burnley, Crystal Palace face Brentford, Manchester City take on Sheffield United and Everton travel to Wolves.

Manchester United will be going to the City Ground to take on Nottingham Forest in the late kick-off on Saturday before Arsenal travel to Fulham and Tottenham host Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon. Liverpool and Newcastle meet in a historic New Years Day clash before West Ham face Brighton on Tuesday night.

Chelsea picked up a victory in its most recent match 2-1 over Crystal Palace at home on December 27. Crystal Palace lost despite outshooting Chelsea 13 to 10. Chukwunonso Tristan Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk scored the two goals for their side in the match against Crystal Palace.

In its most recent outing on December 26, Luton Town claimed a 3-2 road win against Sheffield United, despite registering six fewer shots than Sheffield United. Alfie Doughty’s one goal led Luton Town.
